This wakizashi features a hand-forged T10 steel blade with clay-tempered choji style hamon. The blade is full-tang and has a finely polished geometric yokote.
The tsuka is wrapped in synthetic silk and authentic rayskin inlay, which provides a full grip with hishigami used in tsuka-maki to make it secure and safe. This is a practical wakizashi that combines aesthetics with functionality.
The saya is made of honoki wood and finished with glossy black lacquer. The tsunami-themed tsuba, fuchi & kashira are made of cast iron, which is sturdy and durable. The habaki and seppa are made of cast brass for added durability and protection.
