This Katana is made from Tamahagane, which is traditional Japanese katana steel. The nagasa is 28 inches in length and has through hardened heat treatment, resulting in high hardness and elasticity. The blade has a full tang and features a geometric yokote line. It has been handcrafted, forged, and folded to create a beautiful pattern. This Katana is recommended for tamashigiri.
The tsuka (handle) is 11 inches long and is wrapped in quality synthetic silk tsuka-ito with genuine rayskin (or same) on the handle, providing a full grip. Hishigami is used during the tsuka-maki process, making the handle very tight and secure.
The saya, or scabbard, is made of honoki wood and has a black glossy lacquer finish.
The tsuba (handguard) and fuchi-kashira (pommel) are made of cast iron, making them highly robust and durable. The habaki and seppa are made of cast copper, making them more durable and providing better protection. This katana not only has a beautiful and unique appearance but also has excellent performance and durability, making it an excellent choice for any katana collector.
